The reason it is worth buying the maker’s own rather than guessing: De’Longhi states this one “perfectly fits all the De’Longhi Manual Espresso Machine portafilters”, which is the same blanket wording its DLSC085 bottomless portafilter page uses when it gives “51mm DIAMETER” for the format. The two pages agree, which is more than can be said for most manufacturers’ accessory documentation.
Why 51mm matters here
51mm is De’Longhi’s own format, and it is not interchangeable with anything else on this site — not the 52mm La Pavoni levers, not the 54mm Breville line, and certainly not 58mm.
