The shower screen is the perforated disc in the roof of the group that water passes through before it reaches the puck. IMS’s E61200IM replaces the stock screen on an E61 group with a photo-etched integrated membrane — one solid piece of stainless steel with the perforations formed inside its thickness, filtering to 200 µm.
Specs from IMS: 60mm border, 56.5mm body, 17mm external wall height. The same screen with IMS’s Nanoquartz coating is the E61200NT.
Why this entry exists now
This screen has been on this site’s backlog for a long time, blocked for a specific reason: IMS’s shower-screen product pages give dimensions but never name a machine brand, so there was no sourced way to say which machines an E61 screen belongs to without inferring it ourselves.
IMS’s Shower Code Guide closes that gap. It states that its screens “are classified according to compatibility with the brewing group”, and publishes the prefix-to-brand mapping directly — for the E61 prefix it names Faema, SANREMO, Kees van der Westen, Wega, VBM, Expobar, Bezzera, BFC, Bianchi, Brasilia, D.I.D., L’Orchestrale, ECM, Fiorenzato, Grimac, Iberital, La Nuova Era, La Scala, Quality Espresso, Rocket, Royal First, SV-SAB, VFA, Bellezza and Lelit.
That is the manufacturer naming the brands, which is the standard this database holds to.
Which machines are cross-referenced, and why not more
Only machines whose own manufacturer page confirms an E61 group are listed: the four Rocket models and two ECM models here that carry it.
IMS’s list also names Lelit, but does not say which Lelit models — and Lelit’s own pages describe its home groups as LELIT58, L58E and LELIT57 rather than E61. Rather than guess which Lelit machines have an E61 group, none are cross-referenced. The same reasoning excludes Rocket’s saturated-group models.
IMS publishes its own caveat, and it is worth reading before you buy: “The most common products of each manufacturer are compatible as indicated, but there may be models that use different components which may not always fit some models of home espresso machines.”
Fitment basis
This is a group part — it fits the grouphead, not the portafilter — so it is keyed by group rather than portafilter size. That is why an E61 machine and a Gaggia Classic, both 58mm at the portafilter, take completely different screens: 60mm border here, 55mm for the Gaggia GA200IM. See groupheads explained and the E61 group.
Also fits the same machines
Other items confirmed to fit machines this one fits — useful if you're kitting out a single setup. The count is how many of those machines overlap; nothing here is a new fitment claim.
