IMS CI200NT Nanotech Shower Screen (Breville 58mm, La Cimbali)
verified · 21 August 2026- Part type: Shower screen
- Fits group: La Cimbali / Breville 58mm group
- Brand: IMS
Fits these machines
- Breville Dual Boiler (58mm portafilter)
- Breville Oracle (58mm portafilter)
- Breville Oracle Touch (58mm portafilter)
The Nanoquartz-coated screen for the 58mm Breville group — the Oracle line and the Dual Boiler — and, per IMS’s code guide, for La Cimbali, Astoria, Elektra and Brasilia groups too. Ø51.5mm external, M5 centre, 200 µm membrane: the same part as the CI200IM with a quartz surface.
What the coating is actually doing
IMS describes the effect as hydrorepellent — “water comes down in a shower of tiny drops that are uniformly distributed over the whole surface of the showerhead, saturating the coffee homogeneously” — with the secondary benefit that spent grounds and oils will not key onto the surface. IMS also states the coating is “FDA-certified and quartz-based”.
On a dual-boiler Breville the practical value is the second effect more than the first. These machines hold brew temperature continuously, which is exactly the condition that bakes oils onto a screen, and the Oracle’s automation means most owners are not pulling the group apart weekly.
Breville sits in two IMS series — check before ordering
The 58mm Brevilles and the 54mm Brevilles take different screens, and IMS is explicit: “The Oracle, Oracle Touch, and Dual Boiler use a 58mm group head. For these machines, the CI200 series shower screens … provide the best fit”, while the Barista Express, Bambino, Pro and Touch take the BV200 series.
Every Breville machine page here records its portafilter diameter from Breville’s own documentation if you need to check. See also Breville 54mm vs 58mm.
Two IMS sources disagree about baskets — but not about screens
Worth flagging, because it affects a different part of this database. The same IMS page says B70 precision baskets fit “The Oracle, Oracle Touch, and Dual Boiler”, while IMS’s Competition catalogue names only “BREVILLE (The Oracle)” in its B70 brand list.
Our B70 basket entries follow the catalogue and cross-reference the Oracle alone: a series assignment is a precise statement about border diameter, and a basket that will not seat is the expensive mistake. That strict position is unchanged. This screen entry follows the brand page, because the brand page is the source that speaks about screens and on screens it is unambiguous.
The Oracle Jet and Oracle Dual Boiler are 58mm Brevilles but are named on neither IMS page, so they are not cross-referenced.
This is a group part — it fits the grouphead, not the portafilter.

Other items confirmed to fit machines this one fits — useful if you're kitting out a single setup. The count is how many of those machines overlap; nothing here is a new fitment claim.

- https://www.imsfiltri.com/shower-screen/CI200NT.html (archived) — Official IMS Filtri product page ('CI200NT SHOWER SCREEN', Competition Line, Nanotech Membrane), read firsthand 2026-08-21. Specs verbatim: 'SKU: CI200NT', 'External Diameter: 51.5 mm', 'Central Hole: M5', 'Passage / Filtration: 200 µm' — identical to the uncoated CI200IM. Construction verbatim: 'made of a single filtering part in stainless steel obtained through a process of photo-etching … This model is enhanced with our advanced Nanoquartz coating', whose effect is described verbatim as 'hydrorepellent … Water comes down in a shower of tiny drops that are uniformly distributed over the whole surface of the showerhead, saturating the coffee homogeneously.'
- https://www.imsfiltri.com/breville-sage-precision-filters-showers.html (archived) — Official IMS Breville/Sage compatibility page, read firsthand 2026-08-11 and re-read 2026-08-21 (unchanged) — the source that names the machines. Verbatim: 'Which IMS components fit The Oracle and Dual Boiler? The Oracle, Oracle Touch, and Dual Boiler use a 58mm group head. For these machines, the CI200 series shower screens and B70 precision baskets provide the best fit and extraction performance, matching the high thermal stability of these dual-boiler systems.' The CI200NT is a CI200-series code (SKU prefix CI200, dimensions identical to the CI200IM), so it sits inside the series IMS names for these machines. The same page states verbatim: 'Our Nanotech coating is FDA-certified and quartz-based.'
- https://www.imsfiltri.com/shower-guide.html (archived) — Official IMS Shower Code Guide, read firsthand 2026-08-10, which maps shower prefixes to brands: 'CI La Cimbali, Astoria, Elektra, Brasilia, Breville/Sage (The Oracle)'. Also carries IMS's caveat verbatim: 'The most common products of each manufacturer are compatible as indicated, but there may be models that use different components which may not always fit some models of home espresso machines.'
