IMS B60 Competition baskets
B60 is IMS’s smallest series, for post-millennium La Pavoni levers — Ø60mm border, Ø52mm body, Ø51mm tamper. Three different numbers for one basket, which is why La Pavoni sizing causes so much confusion.
The three diameters
Every basket in this series shares them. They are quoted from the manufacturer pages cited on the individual entries below, not hand-entered here.
| Measurement | Figure | What it decides |
|---|---|---|
| Border Ø | 60 mm | Whether the basket seats in the portafilter |
| Body Ø | 52 mm | Whether it drops in at all |
| Tamper Ø | 51 mm | Which tamper you need |
If those three numbers being different is a surprise, that is the single most useful thing to understand about basket fitment — see why “58mm” isn’t one standard.

| Code | Height | Confidence |
|---|---|---|
| B602TH25E | 25mm | verified |
| B602TH29E | 29mm | verified |
Dose figures vary by roast level and are published per basket rather than per series, so they live on the individual entries — each one quotes the manufacturer’s own capacity table with the date it was read.
Machines this series fits (4)
- La Pavoni Esperto Abile (52mm)
- La Pavoni Europiccola Lusso (52mm)
- La Pavoni Professional Lusso (52mm)
- La Pavoni Stradivari Lusso (52mm)
Cross-references follow the manufacturer’s own compatibility list rather than size logic, so a machine of the right diameter is not listed unless the source names it. Sizes covered: 52mm.
